Literature Text

Underneath the vast sky,
No one thought He was looking.
It was just so easy to turn away.
Truth is, the narrow road just looks too thin.
Even though He was so merciful,
Doesn't mean you chose to follow.

Sodom, where did you go wrong?
Traded life for momentary pleasures,
Allowed death to consume you,
The taste of sin too sweet on your bitter tongue.
Everything welcomed if it wasn't of God.
Satisfied your lustful heart with what He hates.

Oh, Sodom, how long did He wait
For you to come back to Him?

Angels led the righteous out by hand;
Mere ashes were left in their tracks.
Every cry against you was surely heard.
Remind me of your last fleeting thoughts,
If the sulfur burned your skin.
Can we escape Sodom?
Are we far enough away?
